भारत के प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने इस सप्ताह की शुरुआत में Lakshadweep (लक्ष्द्वीप) का दौरा किया था और सुरम्य द्वीपसमूह से कुछ तस्वीरें साझा की थीं। पीएम मोदी की 2-3 जनवरी की यात्रा के दूसरे दिन इस शब्द को 50,000 से अधिक उपयोगकर्ताओं द्वारा ‘गूगल’ किया गया।

सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर अपनी तस्वीरें पोस्ट करते हुए, पीएम मोदी ने द्वीपों की सुंदरता और वहां के लोगों की गर्मजोशी के लिए अपनी प्रशंसा व्यक्त की।
प्रधानमंत्री ने कोच्चि-लक्षद्वीप द्वीप समूह सबमरीन ऑप्टिकल फाइबर कनेक्शन का उद्घाटन करने के लिए केंद्रशासित प्रदेश (लक्षद्वीप) का दौरा किया और यहाँ प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य सुविधा और पांच मॉडल आंगनवाड़ी केंद्रों के नवीनीकरण की आधारशिला भी रखी।
पीएम मोदी की लक्षद्वीप यात्रा का देश भर में उनकी अन्य आधिकारिक व्यस्तताओं से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है। उन्होंने न केवल 1,150 करोड़ रुपये की परियोजनाओं की नींव रखी, बल्कि क्षेत्र की शांति और सुंदरता को भी प्रदर्शित किया, जिसका उद्देश्य इसकी पर्यटन क्षमता को व्यापक करना था।
गूगल ट्रेंड्स ने दिखाया कि ‘लक्षद्वीप टूर’ और ‘लक्षद्वीप पैकेज’ शनिवार (6 जनवरी) को भी भारत में टॉप ट्रेंडिंग कीवर्ड में से एक थे।
ऐसा लगता है कि प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की हालिया लक्षद्वीप यात्रा से देश भर के लोगों के बीच भारत के सबसे छोटे केंद्र शासित प्रदेश की लोकप्रियता बढ़ गई है। यदि कोई लक्षद्वीप को अपने अगले पर्यटन स्थल के रूप में देखता है तो यह आश्चर्य की बात नहीं होगी, क्योंकि ‘लक्षद्वीप’ इस सप्ताह सबसे अधिक खोजे जाने वाले शब्दों में से एक रहा।

पीएम मोदी ने एक्स पर अपने पोस्ट में कहा कि उनकी सरकार “केंद्र शासित प्रदेश लक्षद्वीप में भविष्य के बुनियादी ढांचे के निर्माण के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।” उन्होंने कहा कि लक्षद्वीप की स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं, इंटरनेट उपलब्धता और कनेक्टिविटी में सुधार के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं, यह सुनिश्चित करते हुए कि जीवंत स्थानीय संस्कृति संरक्षित है।
